Building your WordPress website doesn’t have to be an arduous task that causes stress every time you think about it. Having built hundreds of WordPress websites over the years, we have a basic strategy we use when starting on any project.
This isn’t a guide on how to use WordPress to create a website. This article is going to show network marketers the exact steps we use and explain why we do specific things to get found by Google and start getting results from the very first visitor to your website.

1. Change Your Permalink Structure
Don’t let that phrase worry you. All it means is this, change the way your links show up to search engines. It’s a simple change and very easy to do inside of WordPress.
From your WordPress dashboard, just hover your mouse over SETTINGS, then click PERMALINK from the drop down menu.

If two web sites have the exact same content and identical layout, the one with social media channel integration will convert better than the one without it. Simply put, people want to see that other people trust you.
Social media channel integration is great for social proof, but even more importantly it’s needed for liking and sharing. When someone comes across a piece of content on your blog that they like, the first thing they are going to want to do is share it with their friends or save it to their Facebook for themselves to view later.
Most WordPress themes nowadays are built with this sort of integration in mind. But if you happen to choose a theme that doesn’t, there are a ton of free social media plugins available for immediate use on your WordPress network marketing blog. Just do a quick search and find the one that matches the look and feel of your website.
4. Install Google Analytics
Google analytics will help you see that your website is up and running and getting traffic, but it also does much more than that.
If you’re not able to track where your traffic is coming from or where your most profitable traffic source is, you’re in trouble.
By using Google analytics you’ll be able to find opportunities to optimize your website for better results and a better user experience.
For example, you may see that one of your pages is getting lots of traffic, but very few people are converting. That should be your first indicator to go and redesign or optimize that page for conversions. This is one of the key strategies used by growth hackers to build multi-million-dollar businesses online.

5. Create a Content Strategy

By using an Excel spreadsheet or Google Sheets, you can plan out an entire week or months worth of topics and headlines you intend to write about. This strategy allows you to streamline your workflow and stay focused on creating content instead of constantly coming up with new ideas every day.
If you want to create any sort of consistency online, you need to plan your content creation and stick to that schedule. Otherwise, it’s extremely easy to fall off track and miss out.
According to Search Engine Land, companies that blog have 434% more indexed pages. And companies with more indexed pages get far more leads.

Facebook groups are great for getting free traffic to your new WordPress blog. Most people fail at having success on Facebook because they post generic, spammy posts that scare more people than they attract.
By creating valuable content that provides solutions to people in whatever industry you’re in, you will start building up an audience and creating a following.
Facebook makes this extremely easy with this groups feature. Simply search out groups related to your business or niche and join them. Once you’re accepted, scroll through to make sure that links and posts are allowed then start sharing.
7. Create a Clear Objective For Your Business Online
A lot of people DO NOT want to hear this, but I have to say it, you can’t create a network marketing website that promotes both your business and the service/product at the same time.
There are strategies used by network marketers that help convert customers into business partners, but rarely if ever does this happen on the actual website.
If your WordPress network marketing blog is geared towards a niche, write about that niche. Talk about the experiences people are having with your product in the niche or provide solutions to problems people deal with. (Hint: Those people are searching for answers online.)
If your blog is focused on business, write about business. Create content that offers insights and perspective into being an entrepreneur. Give your website visitors your best tips and strategies you’ve learned and you will create a loyal customer base that will respond when you offer a service or product that might help them.
The relationships that are built using either method are where the business partnerships begin. I’ve written this in an article before and it’s worth repeating, you can build your business online or you can build it offline, but you can’t build it without the phone.
Whichever direction you decide to go with your WordPress website, it’s very important to make sure that your visitors understand what it is you’re website offers very easily. Websites with hard to understand calls to action or industry jargon will scare off anyone who finds you.
Think of a phrase between six and seven words that perfectly describes you or your service. If you can’t, then you need to drill down your service and be able to explain it quickly and easily. Remember, you don’t want to do business with everyone. You want to do business with the people who want the 1 thing that you do.
8. Create a Quality Lead Magnet
If you truly want to automate your online marketing and lead generation, lead magnets are how it’s done.
Lead magnets work directly with your email auto-responder in order to give your visitors something of value in exchange for their email address. Online search and email are still the top 2 internet activities people take part in daily.
Your lead magnet should be in line with the needs or wants of your visitors. The reason for a lead magnet is to build up some good will and create some reciprocation online. By providing a valuable resource that actually helps people, you will gain trust and be seen as a reliable resource online for your visitor who may come back next week and purchase a course or a service or reach out to you.
9. Facebook pixel

The Facebook pixel is literally the best thing since sliced bread. With it, you are able to re-target all of the people who have come to your website in the last 60, 90, or a 120 days with ads on Facebook.
This strategy is how marketers go from being forgotten to being seen as an authority online.
